Installer Technician (Drones)

Location: USA; remote role with a 75% travel commitment to customer sites and visits to Seattle Headquarters as needed. Candidates must live within 1.5 hours of a major airport.

Salary: $65,000–$95,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Install, assemble, troubleshoot, and maintain hirify.global hardware and software at customer sites.
• Travel in varying weather conditions to support installations before, during, and after implementation.
• Engage with public safety and law enforcement customers, address implementation issues, and support customer success.
• Work with internal stakeholders to resolve hardware and software problems.
• Advocate for customer needs and contribute feedback to product enhancements.
• Ensure installations comply with building codes and safety standards.

Requirements

• Experience with computer networks, mechanical assembly, electronics, low- and high-voltage wiring, and hardware troubleshooting.
• Basic operational knowledge of macOS, Windows, or Linux.
• Ability to work independently and in a small team, communicate effectively, manage travel, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to climb ladders at various heights and lift and carry heavy objects.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel to customer locations for approximately 75% of the role and live within 1.5 hours of a major airport.

Nice to have

• Bachelor of Science degree.
• 5+ years of electronics manufacturing or assembly experience in aerospace, robotics, automotive, consumer electronics, or related industries.
• Experience manufacturing UAV/UAS systems or infrastructure.
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification.
• Experience with Drone as a First Responder or public safety drone programs.
• Drone hardware and software proficiency and knowledge of Google Office Automation tools.
