Field Service Engineer (USA)

Location: Warrenton, Virginia, USA; willingness to travel up to 50% for field operations and customer engagements.

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus or incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary technical contact throughout the customer lifecycle and support Sales with technical consultations, system design reviews, and proposal validation.
• Deliver system demonstrations, evaluations, end-user training, and remote and on-site technical support.
• Plan and execute installations of complex, multi-component systems, including configuration, commissioning, testing, and validation.
• Deploy upgrades, perform maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, and conduct root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Development, Engineering, Operations, and third-party vendors to support successful delivery and product validation.
• Maintain service records and technical documentation while contributing to process improvements, knowledge sharing, and internal training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in Engineering, Electronics, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in field service or a customer-facing technical role, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Linux operating systems.
• Working knowledge of networking, including DHCP, subnetting, and VPNs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% in support of field operations and customer engagements.

Nice to have

• Experience with networking hardware and complex system integration.
• Exposure to RF, telecommunications, or electronic systems.
• Experience testing and validating technical systems.
• Familiarity with technical documentation and reporting.
• Active or eligible security clearance.
