What you will do

  • Lead field data collection across utility pilots and deployments in suburban, remote, steep, and densely vegetated environments.

  • Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain LiDAR, camera, and sensor equipment while ensuring data quality and completeness.
  • Coordinate deployment logistics, including equipment shipping, site routing, and daily route planning.
  • Serve as the customer-facing field partner, train users on data collection systems, and provide hands-on support.
  • Share field insights, process gaps, equipment issues, and edge cases with Deployment, Product, and Engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 2–4+ years of experience in fieldwork, operations, or logistics-intensive roles.
  • Ability to travel 50–75% and work long days outdoors in variable weather and remote locations.
  • Valid driver's license and confidence navigating remote areas, unpaved roads, and utility corridors.
  • Strong cross-functional communication, customer relationship-building, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously and make sound decisions in the field.

Nice to have

  • Experience with tree identification, wildfire mitigation, or GIS tools.
  • Wilderness First Responder or similar safety or medical certification.
  • Experience with LiDAR, GPS, cameras, drones, or other sensor-based data collection equipment.

Culture & Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and eligible dependents.

  • 16 weeks of fully paid parental leave for all new parents.
  • Flexible, unlimited paid time off, commuter benefits, and free OneMedical membership.
  • Team lunches twice a week, with a mission-first, curious, and ownership-oriented working culture.
