Bid Manager (Space Technology)

Location: Hybrid in Harwell, UK; Barcelona, Spain; Porto, Portugal; or Athens, Greece. The role is based in one of these locations, and candidates must have the legal right to work there.

What you will do

• Coordinate the full proposal process from go/no-go decisions through submission, ensuring quality, compliance, and on-time delivery.
• Set up proposal templates and maintain shared company profiles, work package descriptions, CVs, and supporting literature.
• Lead complex bids with Mission Concept Engineers and stakeholders across engineering, finance, and commercial teams.
• Coordinate joint proposals and consortium responses with external partners and suppliers.
• Support bid strategy, including win themes, partner alignment, and pricing structures.
• Produce opportunity-pipeline analytics, workload forecasts, and reports for team and leadership decision-making.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder bids or proposals.
• Understanding of ESA, EU, national space, or high-technology procurement frameworks.
• Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage large documentation sets with precision and consistency.
• Confidence coordinating cross-functional teams and aligning stakeholders to deadlines.
• Legal right to work in the selected employment location.
