Project Manager

Location: Enfield, United Kingdom; occasional travel to customer sites in the UK and overseas may be required.

What you will do

• Manage customer-funded development and production projects, programmes, and related bids.
• Plan schedules, resources, costs, budgets, and forecasts while preventing delays and overspend.
• Coordinate customers, subcontractors, and internal Sales, Commercial, Legal, Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Quality, and Finance stakeholders.
• Identify project risks, implement mitigation measures, and report programme and financial status to senior leadership.
• Coordinate factory acceptance testing, equipment dispatch, delivery, installation, commissioning, and trials.
• Support export compliance, governance, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• HND or degree in project management, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of practical experience in a project management environment.
• Experience in an engineering development environment and managing projects from conception through closure.
• Knowledge of project management techniques, risk mitigation, programme scheduling, budgets, forecasting, and lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project, with strong communication, reporting, presentation, negotiation, and customer-care skills.
• Knowledge of military or naval contracts and processes; software development project management experience is highly desirable.
