Systems Engineer, Requirements and Integration (Nuclear)

Location: Remote or Santa Clara, California, United States. Remote employees must travel to headquarters twice per quarter based on business or team needs, and must work in person at headquarters during the first two weeks of onboarding.

Salary: $90,000–$130,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the configuration and use of Flow Engineering for requirements development and management.
• Collaborate with design, analysis, and regulatory teams to define clear, verifiable, and traceable requirements.
• Develop and maintain requirement hierarchies, traceability matrices, and verification plans.
• Drive requirements consistency and quality across technical disciplines while supporting regulatory and safety compliance.
• Train team members on Flow, systems thinking, requirements development, and lifecycle traceability.
• Manage requirements change control and configuration management while helping define and execute system interfaces.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as nuclear, mechanical, or aerospace engineering.
• At least 3 years of requirements management experience for complex engineering systems.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with experience working across diverse technical teams.
• Structured, analytical, detail-oriented approach to requirements and engineering information.
• Ability to work independently, communicate clearly, and solve open-ended problems in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with systems engineering or requirements management tools, including configuration, customization, and end-user support.
• Advanced degree in engineering or systems engineering.
• Familiarity with INCOSE standards and MBSE principles.
• Experience in regulated industries such as aerospace, nuclear, automotive, or defense.
