Systems Engineer III-VI

Location: Gaithersburg, Maryland, United States; 4 days in office. Hours are 8:00am–5:00pm ET, Monday–Friday, with up to 10% travel.

Salary: $120,000–$145,000 for Level III; $145,000–$170,000 for Level IV; $170,000–$195,000 for Level V; $185,000–$215,000 for Level VI.

What you will do

• Execute systems engineering lifecycle activities for complex nuclear systems.
• Lead stakeholder and operational analysis, requirements decomposition, functional modeling, and logical system architecture development.
• Manage physical product definition, system interfaces, change control, design integration, testing, verification, and validation.
• Develop and maintain system behavior models using MBSE tools within PLM frameworks.
• Identify technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and support value engineering and cost analysis.
• Lead small engineering groups, prepare technical documentation, and communicate project progress to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial and systems engineering or a related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Typically 5 years of engineering experience for Level III, 10 for Level IV, 15 for Level V, or 20 for Level VI.
• Experience with systems engineering software tools and lifecycle processes such as ISO 15288.
• Experience in requirements management, system design, interface management, design integration and testing, or verification and validation.
• Experience with MBSE and PLM tools or methods, such as Teamcenter PLM, Cameo, Capella, Genesys, SysML, or DOORS.
• Ability to work in the office four days per week in Gaithersburg, Maryland.
