Systems Engineer, MBSE

Location: Customer site at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colorado; primarily onsite with limited remote/hybrid work. U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary: $102,000–$149,600 annually for Colorado-based roles.

What you will do

• Architect, engineer, integrate, test, and deploy an integrated system-of-systems space enterprise for the U.S. Space Force.
• Use Model-Based Systems Engineering tools, including Cameo, to develop and manage system requirements.
• Establish requirements traceability, link model elements, and generate reports supporting program decisions.
• Develop and maintain Life Cycle Sustainment Plans aligned with program objectives and long-term support strategies.
• Maintain technical documentation and knowledge management practices in Confluence and Git-based repositories.
• Research emerging requirements, technologies, and threats and apply engineering methodologies to identify and mitigate risks.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and the ability to work onsite at Peterson Space Force Base are required.
• Active Secret clearance is required; the role is Secret/SCI eligible.
• Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of MBSE experience.
• Experience applying MBSE to complex system sustainment, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Experience with requirements analysis, synthesis, traceability, test methods, and success criteria.
• Experience with knowledge management, configuration management, LCSP creation, and Waterfall and Agile project management.

Nice to have

• TS/SCI clearance.
• Experience with Atlassian tools, including Confluence and Jira.
• Experience with cloud services, cloud-native architecture, and AWS.
• Experience leading software or systems engineering and integration across the full lifecycle.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and strong communication skills.
