Senior Product Engineer (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: North Chelmsford, United States. The role is based in the US for approximately one year in Chelmsford or Chaska, followed by an international expatriate assignment in South Korea for approximately two years.

What you will do

• Provide factory-level advanced troubleshooting for issues at customer sites and coordinate resolutions with cross-functional teams.
• Document customer requirements and ensure they are delivered according to expectations.
• Provide field teams and customers with information about tool operating requirements, including power, chemicals, and water.
• Ensure customer specifications are understood across the TMEA organization.
• Drive compliance for engineering change orders.
• Draft engineering requirements for customer-requested features that improve system performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 8+ years of professional engineering experience, or a master’s degree with 6+ years of professional engineering experience.
• Experience working independently, resolving complex issues, and collaborating effectively within a team.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational and management skills, and analytical thinking.
• Ability to work in an office or clean room environment and follow safety procedures when handling chemicals, electrical currents, high voltage, mechanical parts, or radiation.
• Willingness to work in the United States for approximately one year and then complete an approximately two-year expatriate assignment in South Korea.

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor equipment or similar fully automated capital equipment.
• Experience with gas-cluster ion beam, ion implantation, or etch technology.
• Experience applying lean principles and formal problem-solving techniques.
• Proficiency with project planning software; Monday.com experience is a plus.
• Project Management Professional certification.
