Customer Engineer - Process, Diagnostics, and Control (Semiconductor)

Location: Lehi, Utah, United States; on-site requirements apply. Travel is required for 20% of the time. Relocation is eligible.

Salary: $31.00–$42.40 per hour

What you will do

• Install, maintain, and upgrade PDC SEM-based inspection systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment using standard diagnostic methods, with support from senior engineers when needed.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electron-beam, vacuum, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Support customers in improving defect inspection performance, yield, tool uptime, and equipment performance.
• Work with customers and internal teams to understand process flows and inspection requirements.
• Communicate directly with customers to coordinate service and resolve technical issues.

Requirements

• Associate degree, technical training, or equivalent experience; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• 4–7 years of experience supporting semiconductor equipment or in a related field.
• Experience with SEM tools or e-beam inspection systems.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, including vacuum systems, electron-beam fundamentals, and precision motion systems.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics and use hand tools and digital multimeters.
• Valid driver's license, ability to obtain a passport if travel is required, and ability to meet all on-site safety and environmental requirements.

Nice to have

• 2–4 years of customer or field service experience in a related technical field.
• Bachelor's degree.
