Senior Mechanical Engineer (Semiconductor)

What you will do

• Develop innovative mechanical solutions for existing and future ion implanters.
• Lead requirements planning, concept and design reviews, verification, validation, qualification, and release activities.
• Monitor project progress, schedules, budgets, and corrective actions with program and project engineers.
• Manage mechanical engineering interfaces with design services and offshore teams to deliver quality designs on time.
• Communicate project status to customers and cross-functional groups while ensuring products meet requirements and specifications.
• Troubleshoot system-level problems, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions across engineering disciplines.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• Practical experience designing, manufacturing, and servicing highly automated electromechanical systems.
• Strong decision-making, analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Technical understanding of mechanical architecture, design objectives, safety requirements, SEMI standards, and customer specifications.
• Experience with 3D modeling, FEA analysis, and a PLM system.
• BSME required; MSME preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience with semiconductor capital equipment.
• Experience working with offshore teams.
• Knowledge of PTC/Windchill, PTC/Creo, and Ansys.
• Knowledge of controls and electrical systems.
