Technical Product Support Engineer V (Semiconductor Equipment)

Location: Santa Clara, CA; Chandler, AZ; or Portland, OR, United States. Relocation eligible. Travel required up to 25% of the time.

Salary: $140,000–$192,500 per year, with potential bonus and stock awards.

What you will do

• Own L1–L3 customer escalations from identification through containment, root cause, corrective action, and closure.
• Lead strategic initiatives including NPI support, chamber recovery, platform conversions, retrofits, reliability improvements, and cost reduction programs.
• Own regional product strategy and fleet health by monitoring uptime, MTBF, MTTR, defects, utilization, and systemic issues.
• Act as the technical interface for major customers, presenting findings, recovery plans, and long-term solutions.
• Coordinate engineering, business unit, quality, GPS, and customer stakeholders while influencing product roadmaps through field feedback.
• Develop troubleshooting guides, knowledge articles, procedures, known-issue databases, competency plans, and training for service teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of semiconductor equipment experience.
• Advanced knowledge of DDP platforms and chamber technologies.
• Expert troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, process, plasma, RF, gas delivery, vacuum, thermal, and chamber systems.
• Experience leading high-impact customer escalations and cross-functional technical projects without direct authority.
• Advanced data analysis and problem-solving skills; proficiency in RCCA, 8D, DOE, Fishbone, and Fault Tree Analysis.
• Ability to work in or relocate to Santa Clara, Chandler, or Portland, with up to 25% travel.
