People Generalist (AI)

Location: Ottawa, Canada

Base salary: CAD 90,000–110,000 per year, excluding other total rewards compensation.

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day People Operations across onboarding, offboarding, HR systems, employee records, and policy administration.
• Support employee experience, lifecycle programs, internal communications, events, culture initiatives, and engagement programs.
• Develop employer-brand initiatives through recruitment marketing and employee storytelling.
• Maintain HR documentation, support audits, and ensure compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
• Maintain HRIS data integrity and provide people reporting and insights for decision-making.
• Support recruitment administration and continuously improve workflows using AI and automation.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of progressive HR and/or People Operations experience, including 2–3 years as an HR Generalist, HR Manager, or HR Business Partner.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and managing employee-relations cases.
• Strong HRIS experience, preferably with BambooHR, including data-integrity management.
• Working knowledge of Canadian employment standards and compliance requirements.
• Strong organization, communication, stakeholder-management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to balance critical thinking with hands-on execution and evolving priorities.

• Experience using AI tools and automation to improve workflows, documentation, reporting, or employee experience.
