People Operations Generalist (AI Robotics)

Location: Milpitas, California, United States; 5 days/week in-office collaboration required

Salary: $105,000–$145,000 USD per year plus bonus and equity

What you will do

• Own and improve onboarding, employee changes, leave administration, workplace accommodations, and offboarding.
• Manage payroll, timekeeping, benefits administration, renewals, vendor relationships, and compensation review-cycle support.
• Develop employee engagement, recognition, workplace experience, and internal communications programs.
• Coordinate recruiting operations, offer documentation, background checks, pre-employment requirements, and candidate-to-employee transitions.
• Administer HRIS, payroll, benefits, and related People systems while maintaining secure employee data and reporting.
• Manage the People compliance calendar and coordinate immigration cases with employees, leaders, and external counsel.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in People Operations, Human Resources, or a related role, preferably in a technology startup or high-growth company.
• Hands-on experience across payroll, benefits, compliance, employee lifecycle operations, immigration, and employee experience.
• Experience administering HRIS, payroll, benefits, and related People systems.
• Working knowledge of employment laws, strong judgment, discretion, confidentiality, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work onsite 5 days per week and partner with company leaders and cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting both high-growth startups and established technology companies.
• Experience in robotics, hardware, artificial intelligence, manufacturing, or another technical environment.
• SHRM-CP, PHR, or an equivalent HR certification.
• Experience implementing or migrating an HRIS, payroll, or benefits platform.
