What you will do

• Analyze retailer POS sales, shipment data, consumer lift metrics, pricing, promotions, and competitive performance.
• Identify trends, gaps, anomalies, distribution opportunities, shelf-space improvements, and promotional growth opportunities.
• Develop sell-in stories and presentations for Best Buy and Canadian Tire using syndicated and shopper data.
• Build and maintain relationships with retail buyers and present actionable category insights.
• Support forecasting by collaborating with sales operations and demand planning teams to communicate risks and opportunities.
• Use generative AI and automation tools to accelerate analysis, recurring reporting, and insight generation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience in category management, sales analysis, or financial analysis.
• Advanced Microsoft Office, Excel, and Power BI skills, including pivot tables, large datasets, and chart building.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear commercial takeaways, presentations, and recommendations.
• Understanding of retail sales cycles, promotional mechanics, and margin implications.
• Experience with retailer portals, syndicated data tools such as IRI, Nielsen, or NPD, and AI tools for data synthesis and reporting.
