Human Data - Business Operations Analyst (AI)

Location: Palo Alto, California, United States; onsite role. Weekend work and travel to other SpaceXAI sites may be required.

Salary: $122,000–$180,000 USD per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Analyze Human Data metrics including capacity, utilization, quality, throughput, cycle time, cost efficiency, and workforce health.
• Build and maintain reporting, trackers, dashboards, and operating systems for actionable KPI visibility.
• Develop forecasting and capacity-planning views covering demand, staffing, supply, and process volumes.
• Translate operational and performance data into recommendations for allocation, staffing, performance management, and planning decisions.
• Design, document, and improve scalable operational processes, handoffs, and escalation paths.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, recruiting, onboarding, finance, and other stakeholders on research and special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• At least 1 year of professional experience in business analytics, business operations, consulting, workforce or operations analysis, or growth and operations strategy.
• At least 1 year of experience building and owning analytical models, trackers, or operating systems in Excel, Google Sheets, or equivalent tools.
• Strong quantitative, communication, prioritization, and operational judgment skills.
• Ability to present insights to non-technical audiences and influence cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, and query optimization.
• Experience with forecasting, capacity planning, workforce analytics, performance metrics, or statistical techniques.
• Python, R, Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or modern BI workflows.
• Experience in high-growth technology, marketplace or staffing operations, data labeling, human-in-the-loop systems, or consulting.
• Project management experience and comfort using modern AI tools to accelerate analysis and workflow design.
