Junior Software Engineer (AI & Document Systems)

Location: Ireland, hybrid in the Dublin area

What you will do

• Develop and maintain Python-based applications and services.
• Support AI-powered document features using LLMs, prompting, and context management.
• Contribute to document ingestion, management, and PDF text and structure extraction workflows.
• Work with embeddings and introductory semantic search concepts.
• Write clean, tested, and documented code while participating in code reviews and iterative delivery.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and team leads through mentorship and technical discussions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong Python skills and solid software engineering fundamentals.
• Foundational understanding of AI and LLM concepts, including exposure to prompting and LLM-driven workflows.
• Basic knowledge of document management, PDF structure, and text extraction.
• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn quickly.
• Availability to work in a hybrid setup in the Dublin area, Ireland.

Nice to have

• Introductory experience with RAG, embeddings, or vector databases.
• Exposure to vLLM, Ollama, or similar tools.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs.
• Awareness of data privacy and GDPR principles.
