Core Speech Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote, Ireland; candidates must be based in Ireland. Travel may include up to 10% domestic or international travel.

What you will do

• Develop internal tools for teams building and supporting AI medical note generation and speech recognition software.
• Collaborate with NLP, NLU, and AI teams to produce training data and quality reports.
• Support deployment automation and cloud resource management.
• Support speech recognition systems and improve recognition quality.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for internal products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with at least one year of related experience, or a high school diploma/GED with at least four years of related experience.
• Experience with data pipelines and data processing.
• Web development experience.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language; Kotlin or Python is preferred.
• Experience creating data reports and analyzing large, noisy datasets.
• Experience with a cloud computing platform such as AWS.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Ireland without employment visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with speech recognition and AI processing of dictation or conversational audio.
• Background in linguistics, particularly phonetics, or medical transcription.
• Expertise in Kotlin, Python, Golang, TypeScript, Django, Angular, Ktor, Node, Terraform, or regular expressions.
• Strong communication skills and comfort presenting to groups.
