TL;DR

Salary: $175K–$280K per year, plus equity

What you will do

  • Design and own end-to-end system validation frameworks covering robot hardware and software, cloud infrastructure, networking, data pipelines, and operational tooling.
  • Derive test cases and success criteria from system requirements in collaboration with systems engineering and product teams.
  • Define reliability KPIs, SLOs, and deployment readiness criteria that gate production releases.
  • Build benchmarking pipelines for uptime, latency, throughput, fault recovery, and end-to-end task success.
  • Run stress testing, failure mode analysis, and fault injection to identify deployment risks.
  • Investigate system-level failures across software, hardware, networking, and infrastructure, then drive corrective actions and regression testing.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in systems QA, reliability engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong systems thinking and the ability to reason about reliability and failure modes in complex, multi-component systems.
  • Experience defining reliability KPIs, SLOs, and production deployment readiness criteria.
  • Hands-on experience with benchmarking, stress testing, and failure mode analysis.
  • Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills across software, hardware, and system boundaries.
  • Proficiency in Python and/or C++ for test automation and tooling.

Nice to have

  • Hardware-in-the-loop testing or validation of physical systems.
  • Robotics software stacks, perception systems, or control systems experience.
  • Reliability engineering, FMEA, or safety-critical systems validation background.
  • Observability and monitoring infrastructure, including Prometheus or Grafana.
  • Industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT, Modbus, or gRPC, networking fundamentals, cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, CI/CD, or automated test infrastructure.
