Accounts Payable Manager

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 per year plus benefits

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end accounts payable process across multiple entities.
• Review invoices and payment requests, manage payment runs, and ensure accurate, timely vendor payments.
• Process insurance claims payments to claimants, vendors, attorneys, and service providers.
• Reconcile accounts payable and claims payment activity to the general ledger and resolve discrepancies with claims teams.
• Oversee corporate cards, employee reimbursements, expense management, vendor records, tax documentation, and payment controls.
• Support financial close, audits, regulatory examinations, reporting, and the improvement and automation of AP workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounting, or finance.
• Strong knowledge of accounting fundamentals, internal controls, and financial operations.
• Experience with high-volume payment processing, reconciliations, accounting systems, ERP platforms, and Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment and improve processes proactively.

Nice to have

• Insurance industry or insurance claims payment experience.
• Experience working in a multi-entity environment.
• Experience managing or mentoring team members.
• Familiarity with AP automation, procurement, and expense management systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
