Accounting Manager

Location: NYC Office, on-site. Paid relocation support is available for moving to NYC.

Salary: $140,000–$180,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own day-to-day accounting across the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and expenses.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and prepare accurate financial statements.
• Maintain balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reports, and supporting financial records.
• Design accounting processes, internal controls, and financial policies for a scaling startup.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and tracking of key financial metrics.
• Coordinate with leadership, operations, auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory partners on reporting, compliance, investor reporting, and fundraising diligence.

Requirements

• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA or equivalent certification.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Hands-on experience with accounting and ERP systems, plus advanced Excel and analytical skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Ability to work on-site in the NYC office or relocate to NYC.

Nice to have

• Prior public accounting or Big Four experience.
• Experience in a high-growth or venture-backed startup.
• Experience with QuickBooks-to-NetSuite or other ERP migrations.
• Experience supporting audits, investor reporting, or fundraising diligence.
• Familiarity with CPG-adjacent software.
