Specification Sales Manager (Construction)

Location: Hybrid and flexible working across Cambridge, Reading, Bracknell, Sevenoaks, and Maidstone, United Kingdom. The role covers architectural and contractor-led projects across defined regional territories, including East Anglia, London, and Scotland.

What you will do

• Provide technical and specification support to architects, designers, and main contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Advise on product and system solutions aligned with design intent, performance, and compliance requirements.
• Create and manage project-specific technical specifications and bespoke engineered solutions.
• Manage a pipeline of architectural and contractor-led projects, monitoring progress through design and construction to specification retention and order conversion.
• Deliver CPD presentations and design workshops for architectural and contractor clients.
• Maintain CRM records and collaborate with commercial, sales, and technical colleagues on project handover and conversion.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience creating bespoke engineered solutions for construction projects.
• Strong technical understanding of architectural systems, building products, construction detailing, and current building regulations and standards.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings and plans.
• Experience managing architectural specifications and supporting design teams from early design through delivery.
• Proficiency with construction design software and Microsoft packages.
• Excellent communication, presentation, relationship management, organisation, and multitasking skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with the RIBA Plan of Work and relevant industry standards.
