Location: London, UK; based at one of ’s European/UK office locations, with remote work considered in certain locations. Domestic and international travel required.

What you will do
- Implement and help design ’s global intellectual property litigation strategy.
- Oversee enforcement of standard essential patents and advise on FRAND litigation strategies supporting worldwide licensing programs.
- Defend and its subsidiaries in global IP, antitrust, commercial, and other litigation.
- Manage and direct external counsel supporting litigation and other legal proceedings.
- Evaluate litigation needs and resources, manage significant internal and external legal spend with Legal Operations and Finance, and support licensing and settlement negotiations.
Requirements
- 10–15 years of directly relevant IP litigation experience in a law firm and/or corporate legal department.
- Experience advising patent owners, preferably standard essential patent holders, and handling FRAND litigation in technology or other IP-intensive businesses.
- Lead or primary counsel experience in high-value patent enforcement litigation, ideally in German Regional Courts, UPC proceedings, and UK High Court proceedings.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and a law degree; qualification from a top-tier law school is preferred.
- Currently qualified to practice law.
- Strong trial-lawyering, advocacy, communication, collaboration, organizational, and executive-presence skills.
