Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Morrisville, North Carolina, United States; hybrid work with in-office and/or in-person expectations

Salary: $165,000–$185,000 annual OTE

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks for measuring and validating ONTAP storage operating system performance.
• Develop software features through design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in automation tools and performance workflows.
• Use Generative AI technologies to improve performance debugging, log analysis, and data interpretation.
• Build and maintain user-friendly dashboards for performance metrics.
• Collaborate with performance engineers and senior developers to deliver reliable, scalable solutions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of Python experience building maintainable applications with FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Experience developing automation frameworks or test infrastructure for performance measurement.
• Hands-on experience developing REST APIs and service-based architectures.
• Experience integrating Generative AI or LLM technologies such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or OpenAI APIs.
• Practical experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, SQL or NoSQL databases, and solid object-oriented programming.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including data structures and software design.

Nice to have

• Kubernetes experience.
• Interest in vector databases.
