Senior Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Boston, MA or San Francisco, CA

Salary: $145,000–$200,000 annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Design and optimize scalable data models, queries, and storage solutions.
• Maintain and enhance a custom-built query engine for evolving customer requirements.
• Build data processing infrastructure that supports increasingly large datasets and complex analytics.
• Develop data-driven features with engineers and business stakeholders to solve customer problems.
• Improve engineering processes and data infrastructure to support rapid development and iteration.

Requirements

• Proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Hands-on experience with cloud databases and data storage solutions such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery.
• Experience building and optimizing ETL pipelines and frameworks.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and analytical data warehouse design.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in large-scale data environments.
• Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake data stores, AWS Step Functions, and AWS Lambda.
• Exposure to machine learning pipelines and model deployment in data environments.
