Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Bellevue, Washington, United States; hybrid work

Salary: $170,000–$200,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Own client deployments from initial scoping and technical design through integration, testing, go-live, and stable production.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data ingestion pipelines for large volumes of client financial data.
• Build optimized SQL data models and ensure data quality meets production standards.
• Identify and remove technical and organizational blockers by writing code, managing stakeholders, and coordinating delivery.
• Translate complex accounting and finance requirements into platform features and engineering priorities.
• Design and deploy custom software agents that address critical customer needs and inform product innovation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, solutions architecture, or technical consulting.
• Ability to write and review production-grade code, preferably in Python, Java, or comparable technologies.
• Strong knowledge of relational schemas, complex SQL, data pipelines, analytics, or BI systems.
• Experience managing complex projects and leading technical discussions with external business and technical stakeholders.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP and modern deployment practices.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid setup in Bellevue, Washington.

Nice to have

• Professional experience in fintech, accounting, or finance.
• Experience integrating SAP, Oracle, Anaplan, or similar ERP and financial systems.
• Previous client-facing experience as a Solutions Engineer or Technical Consultant.
• Familiarity with accounting terminology and financial practices.
