AIX Senior System Administrator (AIX)

What you will do

• Install, maintain, upgrade, configure, and troubleshoot AIX, UNIX, and Linux server environments.
• Manage user access, passwords, system security, backups, patching, recovery, and performance tuning.
• Implement system enhancements, hardware and software upgrades, repairs, and infrastructure improvements.
• Manage VCS clustering, high availability, partitioning, virtualization, and storage migrations.
• Support web access and electronic messaging services while maintaining a secure systems environment.
• Provide BAU Unix server management and project support while following incident, change, problem management, and SLA procedures.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience with AIX 6.1/7.1 and UNIX/AIX operating system administration.
• Strong experience in AIX configuration, troubleshooting, installation, customization, operation, recovery, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of VCS clustering, high availability, storage migration, OS clustering, partitioning, and virtualization.
• Experience with OS backups, security tasks, patching, and break-fix support.
• Ability to analyze technical problems, create solutions, improve procedures, and communicate issues to management.
• Willingness to work nights and 24/7 rotational shifts according to business needs.

Nice to have

• DevOps experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or Ansible.
