Finance, Controller (Fintech)

Location: New York Office, 44 Wall Street; in-person collaboration required

Salary: $150,000–$185,000 annually, plus discretionary bonus and benefits

hirify.global is a digital brokerage platform providing low-fee trading, market data, and analytical tools to individual investors through global financial infrastructure.

What you will do

• Manage monthly closing processes for the U.S. broker-dealer and affiliated entities.
• Review journal entries, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, intercompany allocations, adjustments, and variance analysis.
• Prepare balance sheet, profit and loss, members’ equity, cash flow, forecast, budget, and internal financial reports.
• Improve and automate closing processes and maintain accurate financial reporting.
• Develop, train, and manage accounting staff while improving policies and processes.
• Coordinate with auditors, tax accountants, and regulatory examination teams.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of broker-dealer accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance.
• CPA license.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience managing monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entities.
• Experience developing and mentoring accounting staff.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle.
• Public accounting or audit background.
• Public company accounting and SOX compliance experience.
