Senior Technical Writer - Solutions Engineering (Fintech)

Location: Remote across Europe or from one of hirify.global’s seven European offices; Germany (Remote)

What you will do

• Own developer documentation end-to-end, including API references, guides, recipes, quickstarts, and conceptual content.
• Rebuild the information architecture around the needs of developers, direct customers, and embedded-finance partners.
• Unify Direct and Partner API documentation into one coherent hirify.global API experience.
• Read code and API specifications, call endpoints, and validate integration flows to identify documentation and platform gaps.
• Establish documentation standards, style guidelines, contribution models, and review processes with Product and Engineering.
• Improve the developer portal and documentation tooling, use modern AI tools responsibly, and track quality signals such as time to first successful API call and integration friction.

Requirements

• 5+ years of technical writing experience, including building or substantially overhauling developer documentation for an API-first product.
• Strong information architecture skills and experience designing documentation structures from scratch.
• Comfort with docs-as-code workflows, code, and API specifications.
• Ability to work directly with engineers and product managers as a technical peer.
• Excellent editorial judgment, with a focus on clarity, consistency, and brevity.
• Fluent English required.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech, payments, or another regulated, infrastructure-heavy B2B domain.
• Experience with modern AI tooling for writing and editing.
• Additional European languages.
