Director, Engineering - AI Products

AI-native insurance software company building an agentic platform for the full policy lifecycle.

What you will do

• Own and evolve AI-focused products including Quote Agent, Product Studio, Submission Triage, and intelligent Content Management.
• Build and lead a cross-functional engineering organization of 16–18 engineers across ML, software engineering, and data/analytics.
• Define the technical vision and architecture for an agentic platform that improves customer experience and operational efficiency.
• Maintain engineering excellence through code reviews, architectural oversight, and occasional hands-on contributions.
• Partner with Product, Design, Delivery, and go-to-market stakeholders to translate business objectives into scalable engineering plans.
• Develop a culture of ownership, accountability, transparency, and continuous growth.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience and a track record of leading engineering organizations of 15–20+ people.
• Deep expertise in B2B enterprise SaaS and experience shipping and maintaining AI-powered products in production.
• Experience designing and deploying agentic systems, AI workflows, or LLM-powered applications at scale.
• Demonstrated ability to build, manage, mentor, and empower multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong communication, stakeholder alignment, end-to-end ownership, and accountability for outcomes.
• Ability to drive rapid execution in fast-paced environments while supporting continuous learning and iteration.
