Frontend Engineer (Healthcare)

Location: Hybrid in the SF office or Boston office; office attendance required at least 3 days per week, ideally 4–5 days.

Compensation: $150,000–$225,000 base annually plus equity options.

hirify.global is building a consumer healthcare store that simplifies access to virtual and in-person care, prescriptions, labs, imaging, and transparent cash and insurance pricing.

What you will do

• Build and scale major surfaces of the Next.js healthcare application, including search, scheduling, provider profiles, and checkout.
• Develop fast, accessible, production-grade web experiences with high attention to UI quality and interaction details.
• Make pragmatic frontend architecture decisions covering component patterns, state management, data fetching, performance, and testing.
• Work with design, operations, and clinical stakeholders to deliver patient-facing product features.
• Trace bugs and build features end-to-end across the React frontend and Rails backend.
• Contribute to product requirements, SQL-based product analysis, and QA when needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building production web applications with React.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern React patterns, including server components, hooks, and data fetching.
• Experience with Next.js or a similar framework, including routing, SSR/SSG, API routes, and caching.
• Experience with frontend performance optimization, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility.
• Comfort working with RESTful APIs and understanding backend data models.
• Ability to work from the SF or Boston office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails and PostgreSQL.
• Healthcare industry experience, including exposure to EHRs or revenue cycle management.
