Technical Staff Engineer - Process Integration (Embedded Flash Memory)

Location: San Jose, California, United States

Annual base salary: $91,000–$232,000, plus restricted stock units and quarterly bonus payments.

What you will do

• Develop embedded flash memory technology through process integration, design rule scaling, device optimization, failure analysis, and yield enhancement.
• Drive process setup, test chip tapeout, silicon validation, yield demonstration, and reliability qualification on tight schedules.
• Coordinate technical projects across cross-functional and cross-organizational teams.
• Interface with foundries, integrated device manufacturers, and design houses.
• Help move innovative memory solutions from initial concept through production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 12+ years of relevant industry experience in semiconductor process integration.
• In-depth knowledge of advanced-node CMOS process integration and device physics.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, multifunctional, multi-time-zone teams.
• Travel requirement of 0%–25%.

Nice to have

• Non-volatile memory technology development experience.
• Flash memory array characterization experience.
• Knowledge of TCAD, PDKs, circuit design, layout, device and product characterization, reliability, and qualification.
