Process Engineer Co-op (OPS) (Direct Air Capture)

Location: On-site in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada. Relocation support is provided, including four weeks of company-paid accommodation.

Salary: CAD 22–26 per hour.

What you will do

• Support production and engineering teams with plant troubleshooting, field assessments, technical documentation reviews, and process-upset investigations.
• Help execute test campaigns by communicating objectives and results, preparing the plant, and monitoring performance.
• Develop dashboards and performance trends to improve plant oversight and maintenance.
• Support the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures, engineering drawings, and plant modifications through the Management of Change process.
• Collect and analyze plant data and laboratory results, comparing system performance with test campaign objectives.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and other communications documenting plant performance and analysis.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Canadian post-secondary institution in the second, third, or fourth year.
• Relevant BEng studies in chemical, process, systems, or mechanical engineering are preferred.
• Understanding of thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, and fluid dynamics.
• Comfort working in a chemical or plant environment, in all weather conditions and noisy areas.
• Safe handling of chemical products and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Strong written and verbal communication, mechanical aptitude, curiosity, and an explorer mindset.
