Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $147,000–$184,000 for Zone 2 locations; $168,000–$210,000 for the SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and NYC, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Own accounting end to end, including close, technical accounting, GAAP compliance, audit readiness, controls, and reporting operations.
• Lead and develop the accounting team, with direct management responsibility for two reports.
• Create and execute a 12-month roadmap to modernize the accounting function.
• Shorten close timelines, reduce manual work, and improve accounting systems and processes.
• Partner with Product, Revenue, Customer Success, and Finance on business decisions involving products, pricing, packaging, and contract structure.
• Evaluate team structure, priorities, sequencing, and resourcing, making changes when needed.

Requirements

• CPA certification required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of a Controller role or near-Controller responsibilities.
• Strong command of technical accounting, GAAP, audit management, and accounting controls.
• Experience independently owning audit and close processes in a lean environment.
• Experience leading teams through process change, systems change, or organizational redesign.
• AI proficiency is required, including demonstrated use of AI in accounting operations and validation of outputs before they affect the books.

Nice to have

• Experience in SaaS or recurring-revenue environments.
• Experience with transaction-based or operationally complex business models.
• Hands-on experience with modern accounting tools such as Rillet or Tabs.
