Director of Accounting

Location: Hybrid role based in the New York City headquarters office

Salary: $190,000–$250,000 annually plus equity

What you will do

• Lead and develop a team consisting of a Manager and multiple Senior Accountants.
• Own defined corporate accounting operations across the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles.
• Manage accounting for approximately 12 subsidiaries, including intercompany eliminations, multi-currency translations, consolidations, and account reconciliations.
• Drive process improvements, maintain NetSuite general ledger integrity, and implement AI-driven automation using Claude Cowork and Code.
• Own complex accounting areas including revenue recognition, leases, stock-based compensation, foreign currency translation, and business combinations.
• Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Internal Audit, IT, senior leadership, and external auditors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA is highly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including exposure to both pre-IPO, high-growth environments and public companies.
• Experience managing multiple legal entities, intercompany transactions, eliminations, and multi-currency consolidations.
• Strong command of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and internal controls, including SOX compliance.
• Ability to operate independently, manage ambiguity, and lead with an empathy-first approach.
• Experience with NetSuite and Ramp is highly preferred; experience with Claude Cowork and/or Code is strongly preferred.
