Production Development Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Location: Hawthorne, California, United States; full-time onsite presence five days a week

Salary: $95,000–$130,000 per year, plus shift differential

What you will do

• Lead and supervise technicians, machinists, and fabricators performing complex post-processing and machining operations.
• Set daily and weekly assignments, adapt schedules to changing priorities, and manage production performance.
• Develop, document, and continuously improve production processes.
• Partner with engineering and process development teams to resolve build issues and improve reliability, throughput, and first-pass yield.
• Design process trials, implement validated improvements, and drive corrective actions using shop metrics.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and audit-ready facility while supporting equipment qualification, calibration readiness, and preventive maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field from an ABET-accredited university or college.
• Operational leadership and team-management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, document, and improve production or manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in Hawthorne, California, five days per week.

Nice to have

• Leadership development experience through GE OMLP or a similar manufacturing rotational program.
• Experience supervising technicians in high-volume or high-complexity production environments.
• Experience with process development methodologies, design of experiments, or lean and continuous improvement frameworks.
• Familiarity with production metrics, first-pass yield, OEE, or similar operational KPIs.
• Strong organization, communication, process documentation, and prioritization skills; willingness to work extended hours or overtime when needed.
