Lead Automotive Detailer

Location: Irvine, California, onsite

Salary: $32–$34 per hour

What you will do

• Lead daily detailing operations, coordinate workloads, and create weekly schedules supporting seven-day coverage.
• Establish, document, and improve detailing processes, standard operating procedures, and retail-ready cosmetic quality standards.
• Perform interior and exterior detailing, including washing, polishing, waxing, protective coatings, upholstery cleaning, sanitizing, and cosmetic imperfection removal.
• Inspect vehicles before photography, merchandising, showroom display, transportation, or customer delivery.
• Coach and mentor detailers while collaborating with Recon, Operations, Logistics, and Sales teams.
• Manage detailing chemicals, tools, consumables, equipment maintenance, purchasing, and supply inventory.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional automotive detailing experience.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring a detailing team in a dealership, reconditioning center, fleet, or automotive environment.
• Strong knowledge of dealership vehicle reconditioning, quality standards, workflow improvement, and production prioritization.
• Experience managing detailing chemicals, equipment, supplies, and inventory.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; ability to safely operate detailing equipment and work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions.

• Experience detailing luxury or electric vehicles.
• Paint correction and ceramic coating experience.
• Inventory purchasing and vendor management experience.
• Ability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
