Pricing Engineering Manager

Location: Seeking candidates in Chicago, IL, United States, or Toronto, ON, Canada. Must be legally authorized to work in the US or Canada and must not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Base salary: $152,000–$190,000 in Illinois or CA$148,800–$186,000 in Ontario, plus a discretionary bonus and total rewards package.

What you will do

• Lead and grow a full-stack engineering squad focused on enabling the best price for parking locations.
• Own roadmap planning, goal setting, execution, delivery, and product quality.
• Maintain engineering standards for testing, security, observability, performance, and reliability.
• Partner with Product, Data, and Operations to align priorities and deliver business outcomes.
• Mentor engineers through coaching and career development conversations.
• Contribute to on-call readiness, DORA metrics, onboarding, and organization-wide engineering practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with distributed systems.
• Experience with Python, Java, Kotlin, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• 3+ years of experience managing engineers.
• Experience building resilient systems and leading teams through scaling challenges.
• Clear communication, a bias toward action, and comfort navigating ambiguity.
• Working knowledge of Java, Python, Go, React, Postgres, AWS, or Kubernetes, or the ability to learn the stack quickly.
