Product Manager (Fintech)

Location: Remote, North America

Annual US base salary: $150,000–$220,000

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end product lifecycle for merchant capital UX, partner-facing APIs, and servicing and money movement flows.
• Build and maintain a prioritized roadmap tied to conversion, adoption, money movement, and margin outcomes.
• Partner with Engineering on API and payment rail design, including webhooks, idempotency, reconciliation, failure handling, sandbox experiences, and provider operations.
• Conduct merchant and partner research by observing real usage and collaborating with partner engineering teams.
• Write detailed product specifications, define and analyze metrics, and use SQL to investigate performance.
• Align Engineering, Design, Risk, Legal, Marketing, Capital Markets, and Partner Success around product decisions.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of product management experience, ideally in fintech, embedded finance, or developer-facing platforms.
• Ability to critically read API documentation and experience shipping products where the API was central to the product.
• SQL fluency and the ability to pull and analyze data independently.
• Understanding of or exposure to money movement, including ACH, card rails, split payouts, reconciliation, or payment providers.
• Curiosity about credit, underwriting, repayment mechanics, and loss dynamics.
• Strong written communication and a track record of shipping products that improved measurable outcomes.

Nice to have

• Background in engineering, credit, or partnerships with a transition into product management.
• Experience with embedded finance or developer-facing platforms.
• Comfort using AI tools such as Cursor or Claude for prototyping, drafting, and independent problem-solving.
