Sr. Product Manager, Payments (Fintech)

Location: Palo Alto, California, United States; hybrid work with in-office collaboration and remote flexibility

Salary: $195,000–$215,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Own the payments platform end-to-end, including cards, transaction flows, partner integrations, controls, visibility, and pricing logic.
• Improve authorization rates, transaction success, spend per user, reliability, acceptance, and payment economics.
• Use transaction-level data, customer insight, and product judgment to identify and execute high-impact opportunities.
• Define and track core payments metrics while maintaining accuracy and reliability in a high-stakes domain.
• Manage external partners such as payment networks and processors and shape the payments roadmap.
• Partner with engineering, finance, risk, and operations to build scalable systems and use AI tools to accelerate analysis.

Requirements

• 5+ years of product management experience owning high-impact customer-facing or platform products.
• Experience with payments, fintech, or transaction-heavy systems such as cards, billing, risk, or financial infrastructure.
• Strong product judgment, execution skills, and ability to navigate tradeoffs including risk versus conversion and speed versus accuracy.
• Experience with transaction-level analysis, funnel drop-offs, and system performance metrics.
• Track record of shipping high-quality products in cross-functional environments.
• Clear communication, stakeholder influence, external partner management experience, and hands-on use of AI tools.
