Product Designer (AI)

Location: Hybrid, based in San Francisco, Los Angeles, or Austin

hirify.global provides payments infrastructure that enables health and wellness merchants to accept pre-tax HSA/FSA spending for preventive care.

What you will do

• Own end-to-end design across consumer checkout and qualification flows, merchant platforms and dashboards, the marketplace, and clinical provider tools.
• Use LLMs such as Claude to clarify user problems, draft interaction flows, surface edge cases, and align with product and engineering partners.
• Prototype flows and lightweight interfaces with Cursor, Claude Code, or similar AI tools before refining them in Figma.
• Partner with product managers to define strategy, experiments, goals, and success metrics, then use results to adjust direction.
• Conduct self-serve research through usability tests, merchant interviews, friction logs, and session replays.
• Build design-system foundations, establish critique practices, and raise the product craft bar as the design function grows.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience designing complex products, ideally in B2B, fintech, payments, or health tech.
• End-to-end experience shipping products that influenced business metrics.
• Experience defining product problems, shaping scope, and partnering with product managers and engineers.
• Daily use of LLMs and experience building working interfaces with Cursor, Claude Code, Replit, or similar tools.
• Experience contributing to or building design systems, including component libraries, tokens, and interaction patterns.
• Strong interaction design, visual craft, communication, critique, and rapid shipping skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in payments, fintech, healthcare, checkout flows, compliance-adjacent UX, or trust-critical interfaces.
• Experience as the first or an early startup designer.
• Familiarity with experimentation frameworks and A/B testing.
• Experience with Shopify, e-commerce platforms, or multi-sided marketplaces.
