Hardware Design Engineer (AI)

Location: Sydney, Australia; hybrid work model with on-site presence three days per week. Must have the right to work in Australia at the time of application.

What you will do

• Design and develop Ethernet switches, CPU subsystems, memory, and networking interfaces.
• Design hardware systems from concept through production for modern data center AI applications.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical and thermal engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
• Perform system-level analysis, simulation, validation, and testing.
• Refine and implement hardware design processes and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with hardware system design and complex circuit boards using high-speed SerDes and high-power ASICs.
• Experience with CPU subsystems such as x86, ARM, PowerPC, or BMC.
• Knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, electromagnetic compatibility, power management, and thermal management.
• Experience with digital logic design using VHDL or Verilog, as well as UL, CE, FCC, and related industry standards.
• Proven experience shipping multiple generations of products and collaborating across diverse teams.
