Hardware Operations Lead (IoT Hardware)

Location: Victoria, Australia; on-site with extensive travel across active Australian states

hirify.global develops hardware and software that helps farmers manage cattle and run more productive, sustainable grazing operations.

What you will do

• Establish operational systems and workflows for hirify.global’s growing Australian hardware operations team.
• Own the end-to-end tower and collar maintenance programme across Australia.
• Debug, repair, deliver, and service hardware in the field, including supporting farm deployments.
• Map customer farms with drones, model coverage, install towers, and collar cattle on initial mainland deployments.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and share field insights with hardware and product teams.
• Represent Australian fleet operations while collaborating with deployment, customer success, hardware, and New Zealand headquarters teams.

Requirements

• Practical, hands-on mindset with confidence using tools and learning on the go.
• Experience building operational systems, workflows, and data-driven processes from scratch.
• Strong organisation and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Clear, direct communication and the ability to work cross-functionally.
• Willingness to travel extensively across Australia, visit farms, support deployments, and participate in the global on-call system.
• Comfort working in ambiguity and helping create structure while the Australian function scales.

• Experience working in or around agricultural or farm environments.
