Sr. Global Supply Manager (Chassis)

Location: Santa Clara, CA, United States; up to 25% travel required

What you will do

• Develop sourcing strategies for chassis components and systems while meeting cost, quality, timing, engineering, manufacturing, and craftsmanship targets.
• Build strategic relationships with external suppliers, internal business leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Benchmark competitive components, systems, technologies, supplier markets, and costs.
• Conduct supplier, industry, and market research and perform make-versus-buy analyses.
• Negotiate and execute supplier terms, purchasing agreements, and contracts for tooling, prototypes, pre-series, and production components.
• Manage supplier relationships, commercial issues, performance metrics, and cost-reduction initiatives.

Requirements

• Automotive industry experience is required; chassis experience is preferred.
• Automotive, engineering, or finance background is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Supply Chain Management is required; an MBA is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience is required; 10 or more years is preferred.
• Working location: Santa Clara, California, with up to 25% travel.
• English language skills are required. German and Mandarin are preferred.
