Electronics Lab Lead (Cybersecurity)

Location: On-site in London, UK. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK and be eligible for UK SC clearance.

Base salary: £39,600–£54,000 per year, plus bonus or commission.

What you will do

• Lead product assembly, cable fabrication, and test processes under the guidance of production engineers.
• Own day-to-day lab safety, organization, compliance, tools, and consumables.
• Manage electronic test equipment, inventory, goods receipt, and stock storage.
• Work with Hardware and Production teams to assemble and test an increasing range and volume of products.
• Improve production documentation by following procedures and providing technical feedback.

Requirements

• Experience using and managing electronic test equipment in a production environment, including DMMs and oscilloscopes.
• Proficiency with mechanical hand tools, custom cabling, fine-pitch SMD soldering, and rework.
• Comfortable using Linux and Windows to run automated or manual test scripts.
• Ability to work independently, maintain accurate records, and follow detailed technical procedures.
• Collaborative, adaptable, self-motivated, calm under pressure, and diplomatically effective.
• Eligibility for UK SC clearance and the right to work in the UK are required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of IPC rework standards such as IPC-A-610 or IPC-7711/7721.
• Basic CAD skills for viewing schematics or mechanical layouts.
• Interest in progressing toward management of a small team.
