Electronics Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Broomfield, Colorado, United States; travel up to 5%.

Salary: $68,456–$90,533 base salary per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Perform incoming visual inspection of PCBAs using IPC-A-610 acceptance criteria.
• Assemble, inspect, verify, and accept electronic flight hardware and cable or harness assemblies.
• Perform staking, conformal coating, SMT and through-hole rework, repairs, and final workmanship verification.
• Read schematics, assembly drawings, ECNs, and manufacturing travelers while maintaining product traceability and manufacturing records.
• Support root-cause investigations and corrective actions for workmanship issues.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Test while enforcing ESD, FOD, and contamination-control practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, medical, or other high-reliability electronics manufacturing.
• Demonstrated expertise in SMT and through-hole assembly and rework.
• Experience inspecting Class 3 electronic assemblies.
• Experience using microscopes, soldering and rework stations, multimeters, and precision tools.
• Strong understanding of AS9100 quality principles and configuration control.
• Access to export-controlled technology requires U.S. Person status or an applicable export-control license or exception; government-contract work may require U.S. Person status.

• IPC-7711/7721 Rework, Modification, and Repair of Electronic Assemblies certification.
• IPC-A-610 Certified Standards Expert certification.
• J-STD-001 Certified IPC Specialist certification, including the Space Addendum.
