Senior Software Engineer (Robotics)

hirify.global is building a robotics platform that combines traditional manufacturing with modern software engineering and enables developers to create robotics applications on top of a reliable robotics core.

What you will do

• Design the architecture for a scalable camera integration framework within the hirify.global cloud-native robotics platform.
• Build the first production-ready camera drivers and create reusable SDKs and interfaces for future device integrations.
• Develop containerized software running in Kubernetes alongside the robotics stack.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, robotics, and product engineers as well as camera manufacturers and hardware partners.
• Shape the developer experience and technical foundation for integrating vision devices into the platform.

Requirements

• Several years of experience building backend systems with technologies such as Python or Go.
• Strong experience with API design and versioning.
• Experience developing containerized software and deploying systems with Kubernetes.
• Deep expertise in at least one area: industrial camera integration, camera software and SDK development, or Kubernetes-based hardware platforms.
• Ability to own architecture, make technical decisions, and drive projects from concept to production.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes Custom Resources, Operators, or Controllers and Kubernetes networking for hardware devices.
• Experience integrating vendor SDKs behind common abstraction layers.
• Experience with Linux device management, industrial cameras, media pipelines, camera protocols, video streaming, or media handling.
• Understanding of computer vision concepts such as calibration, depth imaging, and point clouds.
• Background in robotics or industrial automation.
