Senior Software Engineer, Perception Platform (Robotics)

What you will do

• Build production services around perception ML models for part registration, seam localization, and real-time weld tracking.
• Design gRPC/Protobuf interfaces with rigorous schema versioning and backward-compatible API contracts.
• Own containerized deployment infrastructure, CUDA/PyTorch environments, and GPU memory allocation.
• Build observability, telemetry, and data pipelines connecting fleet failures, model metrics, operator outcomes, and active learning.
• Establish engineering best practices through code reviews, testing harnesses, CI/CD, and mentorship of mid-level engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building production backend systems in Python; C++ is a plus.
• Expertise in software architecture, concurrency, performance, and API design.
• Deep experience operating gRPC/Protobuf services in production, including schema evolution.
• Hands-on experience with containerized deployment, Linux, and GPU compute.
• Experience building developer tools, frameworks, or platforms for ML, computer vision, or research teams.
• Working familiarity with training loops, evaluation harnesses, and point clouds.
