Senior Software Engineer, Robotics Platform (Robotics)

Salary: $180,000–$250,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Collaborate with robotics, machine learning, and product teams to define requirements and architect software systems.
• Design, build, and operate backend services and APIs supporting production workflows and customer-facing features.
• Develop integrations between multi-agent systems, cloud infrastructure, internal tooling, and robot-facing interfaces.
• Build orchestration and state-management services for long-running operational processes.
• Improve reliability and scalability through testing, observability, incident response, and performance tuning.
• Lead design and code reviews, mentor engineers, improve technical standards, and participate in on-call support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD in computer science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Rust, Python, or C++.
• Strong fundamentals in backend services, distributed systems, data modeling, and API design.
• Experience designing scalable systems and leading complex technical projects.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenTelemetry or similar observability tools.
• Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and production systems.
• Experience building internal developer platforms, tooling, or workflow systems.
• Exposure to warehousing, manufacturing, or logistics automation environments.
