FPGA Board Applications Engineer (FPGA)

What you will do

• Identify and develop board design guidelines and supporting collateral.
• Collaborate with architects, package design engineers, board design engineers, hardware verification engineers, and technical project managers on board and development kit rollout plans.
• Represent customer needs when improving the quality, usability, and debuggability of FPGA boards and development kits.
• Provide technical support for board design issues escalated to the factory.
• Drive technical and strategic discussions with cross-functional teams to determine solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering.
• At least 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, including at least 5 years of FPGA board design experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and driving technical discussions.
• Experience with EDA tools such as Concept HDL, OrCAD, Allegro, Ansys, or HyperLynx.

Nice to have

• Technical knowledge of FPGA technologies including EMIF, I/O, PCIe, Ethernet, and hard or soft processors.
• Analog and high-speed digital design experience in embedded, telecom, or RF domains.
• Experience with thermal and mechanical design reviews.
• Experience engaging, enabling, or supporting customers.
